GRADUATION
Thirteen
graduates took the stage with their friends and staff presenters
to acknowledge their growth and accomplishments before embarking
on their journey beyond Mount Bachelor Academy. Executive
Director, Sharon Bitz set the tone with Gandhi’s quote
– “We must become the change we wish to see in the world…”

CANDLELIGHT
WORKSHOP
Mount
Bachelor Academy’s young women along with several staff
members experience the power of the Candlelight Journey,
a full day workshop for women. It was refreshing to
be together and remember the women who have influenced our
lives and find ourselves inspired again to bring our best
to every life experience.

At
some point in your life, many of you have experienced the
power of a bond you form with an animal. We recognize
that your children can feel displaced and homesick when they
are sent to Mount Bachelor Academy and we try to meet those
needs as much as possible. The family pet is an intricate
part of many of your households and something we are now
incorporating into our community at MBA. Allow me to
introduce the campus dog, Osa, a loveable 2 year old St.
Bernard. Osa has completed obedience school and Delta
Dog therapeutic training classes in preparation to achieve
her certification as a therapy dog. Aside from that,
Osa is by nature a very healing animal, offering the children
someone to cuddle or play with. Students have already
been setup on a program with Osa where they are in charge
of taking her on walks or to group sessions as a positive
incentive and an attainable goal promoting responsibility. The
MBA community has truly embraced Osa and the students light
up when they see her on campus and seem to thrive in her
