ALUMNI REUNION A group of 45 Mount Bachelor Academy Alumni kicked off the new year with a small alumni reunion in Southern California. Bill Hoffman, Program Director and Lynn Vigil, Phase IV Mentor traveled to join them for an evening of food, fun, and reminiscence of their time at MBA and life since. It was heart warming to see students who had families of their own, had finished college, and those who were just testing their wings enjoying time together. The success of this gathering has inspired us to do this once a year.
LIFESTEPS We started 2007 with lots of workshop activity. Already, we have had two Forever Young Lifesteps, a Bridge Lifestep, a Promise Lifestep, and a Truth Workshop and it is barely February. These important experiences are the heart of the deeply personal introspective and group work that the students do while they are at MBA (for details about your child’s participation, be sure to talk to their mentor). THE USUAL Everything is back in full swing: academic year, finishing up the athletic winter season (basketball and wrestling), wilderness trips for Phase I , preparing for La Mancha for Phase IV , Father and Son trip, more workshops etc.
Boys and girls basketball teams continue to have the best season ever!!! Good job bears! and thank you to the coaches : Morgan, Matt and Greg.
