Timothy E. Age 16 from Reno, NV “During my time here at MBA, I am most proud of rebuilding my relationships with my friends and mostly my family. I am proud that I’ve made it through the Promise and Venture Lifesteps. They mean a lot to me and I got a lot out of them. Following graduation I will be going home to finish high school then attend a community college. I am going to work on my grandma’s ranch to help her. Elizabeth E. Age 16 from Reno, NV GPA 3.0 “ Since I have been at MBA for a long time I have a bunch to be proud of. Well, first, just making it this far and actually graduating, them my extremely crazy but enlightening Venture Lifestep and not making through my first or second but third Promise Lifestep. Plus now I can be a good but fun big sister, talk to my parents without acting like a two year old and enjoy life instead of hating it. After graduation I am going to Hawaii for a week then I will be staying with my aunt in Portal, North Dakota for a while until my family moves away from Reno. It will be an interesting change. After I finish high school I will attend cosmetology school for hair design and color. You live for what you love most, you know! Age 18 from Los Gatos, CA Graduating high school “During my time at MBA I am most proud of gaining a good relationship with my parents, going to Europe for the LaMancha Lifestep and getting my high school diploma. After Mount Bachelor I will be going back to San Jose, California and get a job at a restaurant and going to West Valley College for business or hospitality management so I can someday own my own restaurant.” Quote: “I like thinking big. Age 17 from Dallas, OR “The three things that I am most proud of accomplishing at MBA are changing into a loving, honest, graceful young woman, rebuilding the relationship with my family and becoming ALIVE! My best times at MBA have been back-rooming the Promise Lifestep, hanging out and being adventurous with friends. After graduation I will be going home for a while then returning to stay at the graduate resident house until June to finish my junior year. After June I hope to go to a radio broadcasting school and high school to get my diploma. I will be going to college to study business and one day I will become a morning radio talk-show host and radio station owner.” Quote: “Go big or go home.” Jessica N. I’ve also found the enjoyment for backpacking, sea kayaking, and river rafting. After graduation I will be spending time with my family and then heading home to Ketchikan, Alaska for Christmas. After graduation, I am going to work until next fall when I will start college in Massachusetts. Age 17 From Foster City, CA “During my stay at MBA, I have been taught many things in order to be successful in life. Having integrity, love, real friendships and to live life happy is something I have really learned at my stay here. Lifesteps were a major turning point in my life. The Promise and the Venture opened my eyes to the world and what it has to offer, and what I have to offer to the world. I have also had the opportunity to facilitate the Bridge, and Promise Lifesteps, which has opened my eyes to teaching other people, which is an ability I have. Following graduation, I will stay in the graduate resident house until March to finish high school. Then I will go back to San Mateo, CA to get a job and go to college.” Jacob T. Age 17 from San Jose, CA GPA 3.3 “This past year and a half I have come far. My top three greatest achievements have been maturing, growing closer to my family and having a new found self-respect. I will be returning to Westmont High School and then move onto studying abroad in college in Spain, Israel, and then back to America.
