CONGRATULATION PEER GROUPS 47-48

Alexander A.

Alex, 18 years old, is proud of the accomplishments he made during his intervention, of graduating high school, and especially of his repaired family relationships.  After graduation Alex will return home for a short stay and then will proceed to Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin.  Alex will pursue a major in environmental science plans to utilize his education as a Pollution Control Engineer.

Adam John B.

Adam, age 15, is a young gentleman with an amazing sense of humor.  He is simply proud of a few very basic things…. he smells good and people don’t mind being around him now; he’s comfortable with himself and doesn’t mind what other people think; and he’s more mature and doesn’t annoy people as much due to his past immaturity.  After leaving MBA, Adam will return to Foothill High School to complete his sophomore year.

David Charles C.

David is 18.  He is proud of staying “clean” and the relationship he has developed with his family, and he is very happy that now they live together peacefully.  David will leave MBA with a high school diploma. After working for a year David plans to continue his education at a community college.

Benjamin Moreton D.

Ben, age 17, has learned not to self-judge himself while here at MBA.  He has developed a great appreciation for the outdoors along with improving his physical strength.  When Ben leaves MBA he will stay with his family for a short time and then continue on to the Oliverian School in New Hampshire where he will finish his senior year and continue on to college.

Parker Sullivan L.

Parker is 18 years old.  First and foremost he is proud of how much the relationship with his parents has improved and strengthened, becoming open, honest and loving.  He feels he has grown into his ideal self, becoming a gentleman with high values, healthy morals and a good sense of humor.  Parker has also learned to be a more positive person.  He now knows he can overcome obstacles even when he may get knocked down.  These occasions only make him stronger.  Upon completion of the MBA program, he looks forward to his senior year at Mission Viejo High School and then continuing on to either CSU Fullerton or Sonoma State University.

David Austen M.

David, age 18, is proud that he chose to stay and finish the program here at MBA because when he first arrived he really didn’t think this was possible.  David has turned into a strong young man that is no longer easy to push around and manipulate.  He has now learned to love himself and is happy for who he is and who he is becoming.  David will be living with his family and attending Houston Community College for the next year and plans to work either on the ranch, for a construction company or another part-time position before starting a four year college.

Alissa Nicole McC.

At age 16, Alissa is most proud of the work she did while on intervention because she learned that she could do anything she set her mind to.  She is also proud of the relationship she has developed with her dad; she feels that if it weren’t for MBA she probably would not have been able to rekindle this relationship.  Four Forever Young Lifesteps also helped her to realize where all of her emotions stem from.  Alissa will be moving back to Houston, Texas, to live with her dad, stepmother and two stepbrothers.  She will start her junior year of high school in the fall and plans to continue her education at Houston Community College.  Alissa hopes to become an animal protection officer or work in law enforcement.

Nikoline Constance N.

Nikoline, age 17, was very challenged by her experience in intervention and feels that it proved to her how strong she is.  She is very proud of being sober for 16 months, something she could not imagine at this time in her life.  Nikoline put her all into the Venture Lifestep and believes it was a huge turning point for her.  After graduation, Nikoline will return home to Seattle where she will live with her mom.  In the fall she will attend North Seattle Community College and finish her senior year of high school.  She hopes to get a job at Nordstrom’s and spend her free time with family and friends.  After earning her high school diploma, Nikoline plans to pursue her dreams of being an artist and eventually a career as a jewelry designer.

Casey James S.

Casey is 17 years old (almost 18). Facilitating Venture was by far the best Lifestep for him because it showed him that people like him for who he really is.  Camp Classroom was a great experience for Casey.  He enjoyed being looked up to by the younger kids, as well as having the opportunity to teach them.  The Promise Lifestep was a struggle for Casey and one he is very proud of completing the second time around. Casey will be going home to Federal Way, Washington, and will seek a position as a snowboard instructor at Snoqualmie Pass.  In the Fall he will attend college at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Washington, where he will finish high school.  Casey also hopes to play baseball and soccer for the college.

        Ashara Alicia S.

Ashara, age 15, was really scared and didn’t think she could complete the Venture Lifestep, so Ashara is very proud of her accomplishment and of learning how to be in control of her life.  La Mancha was an eye-opening experience that taught Ashara the beauty of simplicity.  Intervention showed her that she has inner strength and power.  After graduation from MBA, Ashara will spend a couple of weeks with her family and friends, painting, getting back into shape, and preparing for a year at Lighthouse High School in Santa Monica, California.

Heather Rachelle T.

Heather, 18 years old, is proud of being sober for nine months and plans to stay sober.  Her turning point was the Promise Lifestep where she made a commitment to herself not to quit MBA upon turning 18.  Heather has learned to be confident in the choices she makes, be compassionate toward others, and most of all to love and respect herself.  After graduation, Heather will be returning home to Los Alamitos, California where she will be immediately starting classes at Cypress Community College.  She hopes to transfer to a four-year college.  Her long-term plans include becoming a delivery room anesthesiologist

Kyley Erin Z.

Kyley, age 16, is very proud of the relationship she has developed with her family because they now get along better than she thought was possible. Completing and facilitating the Promise Lifestep taught Kyley how to live as a strong, powerful, independent woman.  Facilitating Intervention was a struggle as well as a great honor.  Kyley will be returning home to Hawaii and looks forward to spending time with family and friends.  She will continue at a boarding school where she will complete her junior year of high school.
