 SPORTS

MBA has wrapped up another successful fall athletic season. We had a
great turnout for all the sports teams- Volleyball, Soccer and Cross
Country. The volleyball team played a full schedule, including hosting
several matches at the Mitchell gym. The girls were always toughSPORT
competitors, and learned a lot of new skills over the course of the
season. Big thanks to Rachael Huish for all her time and dedication
leading this team. Soccer also drew a large number of participants- both

those willing to play, and those wanting to cheer the team on to success.
It must have worked, as the soccer team finished with a winning season at
an overall record of 3-2. We greatly appreciate Will Bucknum for guiding
the soccer team and teaching them everything he knows! Cross Country was
a phenomenal success this year, with a bigger student turnout than we’ve
ever had. It was great to see so many students enthusiastic about
running, in large part due to coach Boone Nicholson’s excitement and
efforts. The students were able to hang with the pack at the meets, and
even set some personal bests over the course of the season. Thanks Boone!

With the end of fall sports comes the beginning of the winter athletic
season. We are looking forward to a full schedule, with Boys Basketball,
Girls Basketball and Wrestling being offered. It should be a great
season, especially with all the work being put into the new gym, which has
included a new floor and moveable backboards. There will be opportunities
for parents to come see games and matches around the time of December
parent seminar- watch for a schedule to be posted soon.

 BUSY TIME...

This  time of the year things are getting very busy so I won't be able to post a lot on the web. If you are a parent, make sure to ask your child's mentor about any activities in which he/she might be involved: wilderness trips, sports, La Mancha Workshop , off campus activites, Lifesteps, holidadys, visits and more.

Peer Group 56 return from their Forever Young workshop

Sharing about their experience in F.Y.

Before the F.Y. workshop all the students are wishing well to the participants.
