LAST SNOW SKI TRIP

Nine students and three staff went to Paulina Lake Lodge which is in a caldera of an extinct volcano, 25 miles South of Bend.

We did our best skiing, telling bad Norwegian jokes and enjoying the last snow of the year.

Thanks David, Wendy and Brett for the fun and pictures.

To my friend

Present past and beyond

Even though we didn't live together for too long

Your companionship is the most precious thing I could lose

When we're together the fun is never ending

Rocking out together only the beginning

Matt, my brother

My friend, this poem's for you

Ever get the feeling you can't go on

Just remember whose side it is that you're on

You've got a friend with you til the end

If you're ever in a tough situation

I'll be there with no hesitation

Brotherhood's our rule that cannot end

When you're feeling too close to the bottom

You know who it is you can count on

I'll be there to pick you up again

You and I are bonded forever .

To Matt from Mike Penner

We helped each other with writing proposals

But I scared you off with my garbage disposal

And oh the times we spent laughing

And quaffing on food from the kitchen

Then, realizing one day that our muscle tone had gone missin'

And crying, and lying, and tying our shoelaces

That were rainbow and shined like the smiles on our faces

Red for my skin, and orange for your hair, yellow for our laughter

That always was there

Green was our envy of all that was perfect

And blue were the days we spent trying to get there

But purple is the cape of the king of the forest

Whose roar can be heard

By all who he knows

And anyone can see he has great taste in clothes

But the strength of this king

Is especially defined by the fact that long ago

He was the cowardly lion

Dan, I love you so much

Its the end of this journey

And I know you're prepared

For the next step in time

So its my honor to say

With the ultimate cheese dip

Here is the yellow rose of our friendship.
