It was almost 8 years ago that I stepped onto MBA soil. I was 17 years old, depressed, angry, and totally lacking self-confidence. The summer of 94 was very scary for me. I knew that I was heading west from Georgia to attend Summer Venture. I was incredibly angry at my parents for leaving me in this strange place so far away from my friends and civilization. I was not prepared for how the next 7 weeks would change me. The counselors pushed us mentally and physically. After a few weeks we were given the choice to summit Strawberry Mountain. Another camper and I were the only 2 to do so. A few nights later was the night I had been waiting for, solo's. Alone, no one to bother me, I had been waiting for this day. Solo's taught me that life is beautiful and I have no one to blame but myself for my lot in life. It was that night that I found inner peace, that I connected with God. I learned that I have to believe in myself and love myself before others could really love me. After completing Summer Venture, I began my senior year of high school, ready to face the world.

Your program saved my life. You helped me to learn survival skills, how to deal with my inner self. I am 25, a college graduate, living alone, facing the world without hesitation without fear of failure. I know that I can do anything I want if I try, if I believe in myself. Thank you for saving my life!

Schedule:

Friday, July 5^th 11:00 a.m.: You will be picked up at The Riverhouse Hotel parking lot, and brought up to the school.

July 5^th 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.: At MBA, checking out the school, visiting with staff, etc.

6:30 p.m.: Dinner will some of your wonderful old mentors !

July 6^th: Free day to spend with your old friends and new acquaintances at your leisure.

* If you graduated after 1996, be patient, we are planning another reunion. If you were a student at MBA, completed most of the program, and you feel you would like to attend, please call Alex Bitz at 800-462-3404 ext. 209.
